Licensed software that runs on your own account
Your account, your money
VERTEX 2 is a cBot: a small program that runs inside the cTrader desktop app, on your own broker account. Your money stays with your broker. We never hold it, and we never need your broker password.
Runs on the S&P 500 symbol
You add it to your broker’s S&P 500 symbol (often listed as US500). It never touches your other positions.
Licensed to you
Your subscription is a licence to use VERTEX 2 on one cTrader account. Keep your licence key private, like a password.

Get your licence key
You get a personal licence key. It links VERTEX 2 to one cTrader account.
Install it and set your risk
Install the VERTEX 2 cBot in cTrader, add it to the S&P 500 symbol, paste in your key and set your Risk % per trade (see the recommended maximum for your leverage below). Then press Start.
Keep it running
Leave cTrader and VERTEX 2 running, with the computer on and online, from 8:00 am to 3:10 pm Chicago time on US market days.
Before you start
A cTrader account
With a broker that offers cTrader and the S&P 500 index (often listed as US500). VERTEX 2 is made for these brokers, and so far we’ve tested it with Pepperstone. Your cTrader account must be set to Hedging.
The right risk setting for your leverage
Set Risk % per trade at or below the recommended maximum for the leverage your broker gives on the S&P 500, which is often lower than your account’s. The default is 5, so set yours before you start. More in the FAQ.
Leverage on the S&P 500 Recommended maximum Risk % per trade 1:20 up to 0.9% 1:30 up to 1.3% 1:100 or more up to 4.5% A computer that stays on (a Windows PC or Windows VPS is best)
VERTEX 2 runs in the cTrader desktop app. The web and cloud versions of cTrader can’t run it. cTrader for Mac can run it too, but a Mac goes to sleep easily and VERTEX 2 stops when it does, so on a Mac we recommend a Windows VPS: a computer you rent online that stays on all the time.
That computer running on US market days
Keep it on, awake and online from 8:00 am to 3:10 pm Chicago time, Monday to Friday (US market days), so VERTEX 2 stays connected.
